As of Sunday, February 15, 2026, the registration and verification for the Ramadan Relief initiatives have reached a critical point. Today marks the final deadline for the PSER survey in Punjab, which is the gateway to the 8070 Nigehban Program.

The 2026 relief strategy has split into two distinct tracks: a Federal Cash-based model (9999) and a Punjab Hybrid model (8070), both moving away from long queues at Utility Stores in favor of direct digital transfers and doorstep delivery.

Ramadan Relief Package 2026: Official Status

1. 9999 Federal Relief: The “Cash-First” Model

The Prime Minister’s 2026 package is focused on direct financial assistance. The goal is to provide families with the flexibility to buy what they need from local markets rather than just Utility Stores.

• The Payment: Eligible families will receive a one-time grant of Rs. 5,000 (for general low-income) or up to Rs. 13,000 (for BISP/Kafaalat registered families).
• Verification: The 9999 SMS service is the primary portal. If you are already in the BISP database, you are likely automatically eligible.
• How to Collect: Funds are being disbursed through mobile wallets like JazzCash and EasyPaisa, or at designated biometric centers.

2. 8070 Punjab Nigehban: The “Nigehban Card”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced the Nigehban ATM Card for 2026. This card replaces the old paper vouchers and pay orders.

• Cash Benefit: Every eligible household in Punjab will receive Rs. 10,000.
• The Ration Bag: Unlike the federal scheme, Punjab is still providing a physical “Dignity Bag” delivered to your doorstep. It contains:
  • 10kg Flour, 5kg Rice, 5kg Ghee, 2kg Pulses, and Dates.

• Current Qist: The February 2026 installment of Rs. 13,500 (Kafaalat) is currently being released.
• Ramadan Bonus: BISP recipients may receive an additional Rs. 5,000 automatically without needing to send a separate SMS to 9999.

4. Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your Status

1. Check Federal Eligibility: SMS your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) to 9999.
2. Check Punjab Eligibility: SMS your CNIC to 8070.
   • If the reply says “Not Registered,” visit your nearest Union Council or Assistant Commissioner’s office immediately.
3. Verify BISP Status: SMS your CNIC to 8171 or check the 8171 Web Portal.

Important Fraud Warning

The government has issued a strict warning for 2026: No government official will call you from a personal number or WhatsApp to ask for your bank OTP or a registration fee. If you receive a call asking for money to “unlock” your Rs. 10,000 payment, it is a scam.
