Here is the most accurate and current guide for checking your eligibility and completing your registration.

How to Check Eligibility Status Online

The official 8171 web portal is the only verified digital platform for checking your status.

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to 8171.bisp.gov.pk.
  2. Enter CNIC: Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes).
  3. Captcha Code: Enter the 4-digit verification code displayed in the image on the screen.
  4. View Result: Click the “Check Eligibility” button.
    • “Eligible”: Your payment of Rs. 13,500 is ready for collection.
    • “Ineligible”: Your household does not meet the poverty criteria (PMT score).
    • “Contact Tehsil Office”: You need to update your survey data.

Check Status via SMS (No Internet Required)

If you do not have a smartphone, you can use the verified shortcode:

  • Action: Type your 13-digit CNIC in a new message.
  • Recipient: Send it to 8171.
  • Reply: You will receive a text confirming your eligibility and whether your money has been transferred to your account.

Registration Details for 2026

There is no online registration form for BISP or Ehsaas. Registration must be done physically to prevent fraud.

  • The NSER Dynamic Survey: To register, the head of the family (preferably a woman) must visit the nearest BISP Tehsil Registration Center.
  • Documents Required:
    • Original CNIC of the applicant.
    • Children’s B-Form (NADRA verified).
    • A mobile SIM registered in the applicant’s name.
    • Electricity/Gas bill (for address verification).
  • Re-Verification: If you were a beneficiary in the past but your payments have stopped, you must undergo Dynamic Re-verification by February 2026 to ensure your data is current.

Payment Collection Methods

For 2026, the government has introduced the Benazir Digital Wallet to reduce queues at centers.

  • ATMs: You can withdraw funds from designated ATMs (typically Bank of Punjab or HBL) using biometric (thumb) verification.
  • Retail Shops: Authorized Connect/JazzCash/EasyPaisa agents can provide the cash after biometric scanning.
  • Important: The full amount is Rs. 13,500. Do not pay any “fee” or “commission” to agents. If anyone asks for money, report them to the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
