The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has modernized its payment checking system. The quarterly installment for theBenazir Kafaalat program has been increased to Rs. 13,500 for eligible beneficiaries.
Here are the three official ways to check your payment status and eligibility for 2026:
Official 8171 Web Portal (Fastest Online Method)
The 8171 Web Portal is the most reliable tool for a detailed status check.
- Visit the Portal: Go to 8171.bisp.gov.pk.
- Enter CNIC: Type your 13-digit Computerized National Identity Card number (without dashes).
- Security Code: Enter the 4-digit captcha code shown in the image on the screen.
- Check Status: Click the “Check Eligibility” or “Submit” button.
- Result: The system will instantly show if your Rs. 13,500 payment has been released, if you need to perform a “Dynamic Survey,” or if your biometric verification is pending.
SMS Service (For Low-Internet Areas)
If you do not have a smartphone or internet access, you can use the 8171 SMS service.
- Action: Open your mobile messaging app and type your 13-digit CNIC (no spaces/dashes).
- Send to: 8171.
- Response: You will receive an automated reply within a few minutes.
- Note: Use a SIM card registered against the same CNIC for a faster response.
New for 2026: BISP Digital Wallet
In a major shift to prevent fraud and long queues, the government has introduced Digital Wallets (Partnered with JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and Bank of Punjab).
- Check via App: If you have registered for the BISP Digital Wallet, you can check your balance directly in the JazzCash or EasyPaisa app under the “Government Payments” or “BISP” section.
- Benefit: This allows you to withdraw your full Rs. 13,500 at any retail agent without deductions or visit an ATM.
Important 2026 Updates & Eligibility
- Payment Amount: Increased to Rs. 13,500 per quarter.
- Dynamic Survey: If the portal says your “Survey is Expired,” you must visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office with your original CNIC and children’s B-Form to update your data in the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).
- PMT Score: To qualify for the cash grant, your Poverty Means Test (PMT) score must generally be below 32.
