The Ramzan Nigehban Relief Package 2026, initiated by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has evolved into a hybrid relief model. For the 2026 cycle, the program provides Rs. 10,000 cash assistance to eligible families, alongside the traditional door-to-door delivery of ration bags for the most vulnerable.
The registration deadline for the first phase of 2026 is February 15, 2026. Here is the step-by-step guide to applying and checking your status.
How to Apply and Check Eligibility
The government has streamlined the process through two primary digital channels:
Method A: SMS Registration (Fastest)
- Step: Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Type: Your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes or spaces).
- Send to: 8070.
- Result: You will receive an automated reply. If it says you are “Eligible,” your data is already in the system. If it says “Not Registered,” you must follow Method B.
Method B: Online Registration (PSER Portal)
To ensure you are included in the 2026 cash distribution, your household must be registered in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER).
- Visit the Portal: Go to pser.punjab.gov.pk.
- Create Account: Register using your CNIC and mobile number.
- Fill Form: Complete the household survey, including income details and family members.
- Submit: Once verified by NADRA, your status will update to “Verified,” making you eligible for the Rs. 10,000 payment.
Eligibility Criteria (2026)
To qualify for the Rs. 10,000 cash and the Ramzan Nigehban Card:
- Income: Monthly household income must be below Rs. 60,000.
- Poverty Score: Your PMT (Poverty Means Test) score should be below 30–35.
- Residency: You must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
- Exclusions: No government employees, large asset owners, or families with vehicles (except motorcycles) are eligible.
How to Withdraw the Rs. 10,000 Cash
Successful applicants will receive an SMS notification once the funds are released (expected just before 1st Ramzan, around late February 2026).
- ATM Withdrawal: You can use the new Nigehban Card at designated Bank of Punjab (BOP) or HBL ATMs.
- Biometric Points: Visit any authorized HBL Konnect, UBL Omni, or JazzCash/EasyPaisa agent. Provide your CNIC and perform biometric (thumb) verification to receive the full cash amount.
